Happy Christmas from all at Hidden Agenda. A picture taken at Thursday's last show featuring not only the current line up but also Hannah, Lisa' and Gilly from earlier line ups who joined us on the night. A fitting farewell to a fantastic band. We will publish some more pictures from the event in the new year..... We are also delighted to once again be nominated for the Best Band Cover/Tribute at this years GSMC music awards. If you would like to vote for us then use the following link to send Graham a message stating you would like to vote for us. When we made the decision to call it a day there were just three dates left on the calendar. Two of these have taken place in the last couple of weeks. A big thanks to Hayley and Kevin for asking us to play Kevin's special birthday. It was a lot of fun. Last Friday the band hit the big stage for the last time when we played the Wilde Theatre in Bracknell as part of the Boogie Music Inferno show. A massive thanks to Graham Steel Music Company and all at South Hill Park for making this happen and of course to the audience for making us so welcome. So that leaves just one show. On the 20th December we go to the very intimate Cellar Bar in South Hill Park for the last show. We are very much looking forward to the event and seeing some of you there.......

Band news. We have just three shows to go until the band splits and for these shows Alana Warner will be re-joining the band to put back the line-up that ran between 2013 and 2016 and played Hammersmith Apollo in 2014. There has been no falling out with Gilly who will be joining us at the final show on 20th December for a show with a bit of a Hidden Agenda "past and present" theme that will feature the current line up plus Gilly Clinton, Lisa Paine, Hannah Varley-Thompson, Derek Frederick and Paul Gardner. Whilst not brandishing a guitar Ian Legge is hoping to be there also for the ultimate band picture featuring 12 of the 15 members who have been with Hidden Agenda over the last 8 year... if the stage will cope with it. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Gilly for her considerable contribution to the band and its legacy xx.

Of the three remaining shows only two are public and only one still has tickets available. This takes place two weeks today at the Wilde Theatre in Bracknell (10th November). This is a fantastic event with Evolution Band and Soul Direction playing also. It will be our last visit to the big stage before bowing out in the more intimate Cellar Bar on 20th December. Tickets available here: www.southhillpark.org.uk/whats-on/

The Boogie Music Inferno show is 4 weeks today on the 10th November. This is Hidden Agenda's last but one show. This week has seen a real acceleration in sales of tickets and at this rate we may well sell out before the event. If you are coming and have yet to get tickets now might be a good time. The picture shows the remaining seats (in green). Seats can be booked here - www.southhillpark.org.uk/whats-on/

Band News – Hidden Agenda’s 4th annual Christmas Party on the 20th December takes place a couple of days after our 8th Birthday. It has been the most amazing 8 years and whilst we would struggle to surpass the achievement of headlining Hammersmith Apollo perhaps the less obvious achievement has been the forming of deep rooted friendships and respect across the 16 band members that have taken part in the journey. I hope you will agree the quality of the band and the performances have been second to none and for those that have seen us live I very much hope you have enjoyed the experience. Of course, every journey, however rewarding and enjoyable has to have an end and Hidden Agenda’s journey will cease at the end of the night on the 20th December. There has been no massive falling out, no harsh words, just a collective recognition that it is time to move on and try other things. I sincerely doubt that this will be the last time bits of the band team up and play together and maybe not the last time we are all on the same stage in some form but to all intents and purposes Hidden Agenda will be no more. There remain two opportunities to see us say goodbye, both at South Hill Park, Bracknell. 10th November see us take part in the Boogie Music Inferno show at the Wilde Theatre and then the final show on the 20th in the Cellar Bar which will have a distinct Hidden Agenda current and past feel to it with our usual array of guests. Tickets are on sale for both now and strictly limited. The Christmas show at last check had less than 35 tickets remaining. See our events page for more details. We look forward to seeing you soon….. Miffy, Gilly, Angela, Rob, Patrick, Ian & Colin

So, Hidden Agenda quite often get asked at shows if we can be booked to play private functions (the answer is yes). Less often we get asked if we can headline a new festival, spec the stage and power requirements, supply the technical team, the PA and all the lights and also book most of the rest of the acts. In fact this has only happened once and this was at last year’s Christmas Party. Roll on 7 months and we have just had the best of fun at the first CoombesFest. Hats off to the organisers for setting up the event from scratch (shout out specifically to Emma Woodhouse and Claire Wileman) and selling out the 500 tickets available for the event and also organising everything else needed to make the festival a success. Feedback has been amazing not just for the band but for the entire event. A big thanks to David Gilbrook for all the support in the run up and on the day and to Alana Warner for stepping back in at the last minute to cover a poorly Gilly. Last but not least credit to David Sell for the photos.
